Truth be told, I don't change my make-up round all that often.
But, I've been feeling rather autumnal lately & I thought it would be nice to change up my trusty MAC Quad. I absolutely love this little thing. They're so handy and I actually get more use out of this than my fifteen pan palette(probably because it fits in my teeny make-up bag). I also think it says a lot about the eyeshadows that people put in them, because you've only got four spaces - so they're all going to be great choices, right?
My Summer shades were a fairly neutral bunch with a peach, bronze theme running throughout, which included (as loose above) : Omega, Arena, Wedge & Soba. I love them all for different reasons, but I felt like I could get a couple of different looks from those four, including Omega for my eyebrows. So if I were ever travelling, I knew I could just take that and be ready for any occasion!
For my Autumn picks, I wanted something deeper & warmer, so here's what I chose :
Woodwinked - a gorgeous, two-tone deep golden bronze, that almost contours itself as it always tends to appear darker in the crease, which makes it a great, easy option for during the day and a pretty, bronze smokey eye at night!
Brown Down- a matte, warm brown that's lovely in the socket line and can add as little or as much warmth as you're looking for. I prefer this to Charcoal Brown for that very reason. Plus is looks lovely when paired with Woodwinked!

Satin Taupe - this wasn't an obvious choice for me as it's not a shade I reach for often, but it's actually quite a nice neutral for day-to-day wear, as it adds just the right amount of shimmer but can be built up for a smokier look.
Sable - an unusual soft, shimmery plum that looks wonderful all over the lid. It's one of my favourites as it's so different to anything else I own. Perfect for the cooler months & looks lovely on blue/green eyes as, I think, it really makes them stand out.

I've got to admit, if I had Patina in pan form, I would've chosen that over Satin Taupe, as I love a bit of neutral bronze shimmer - what can I say? But there you have it - shades I will be reaching for again & again over the next few months! I'm so excited for the weather to start cooling down again. It's been such a hit & miss Summer, I'd rather it just made its mind up and started being Autumn!
