A Few Of My Favourite Things #6

Slightly off timing, but I couldn't resist sharing a few things I've been loving lately!

I haven't bought many new products at all lately. I've been trying not to give into the hype of things so quickly, only to be ultimately left disappointed. So these are all fairly 'recycled' but well loved items, that I know are worthy of a post.

Essie In Stitches : I've been really enjoying this shade lately. A dusky, blush rose that's so different to anything else I own. It's the perfect transitional summer - autumn nail polish shade (if such a thing exists). So much so, I've applied it three times in a row! It's definitely contributing in helping my nails grow, because it just looks so pretty - I don't want to ruin it, which is always a good thing.

Etsy Silver Hamsa Necklace : I have a fair few bits of jewellery, but none compare to this. I bought this a few years ago now and I still love it as much. It's so simple and chic. I love what the hamsa symbol stands for and I love how it's placed horizontally instead of dangling downwards. It's such a chic little thing & I wear it pretty much daily!

REN Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial* : I love a good face mask, but I rarely have the time/can be bothered scheduling out fifteen minutes of the day to sit with one on, so when I kindly received this from REN I was over the moon. And its actually quickly become one of my favourite face masks. It has an unusual gritty texture at first, but then you gently massage it with damp fingers to activate the vitamin c, leave for one minute (weird sensation in itself) - et voila! It leaves my skin looking & feeling much clearer and balanced, clean of any grime but not stripped in any way. It's love!

Bourjois Cream To Powder Blush, Sweet Cherry : I've found myself reaching for this little pot of goodness more often, too. As we're coming into the colder months, my make-up has taken a swerve to the plum/berry side and this is such a lovely, warm blush that compliments plenty of different 'looks.'

Mac Impressive Lipstick : an oldie, but a goodie! I've owned this lovely little lipstick for quite some time now, but I've been wearing it almost daily these past few weeks. It is my ideal 'nude' shade as it's very similar to my natural lip colour, yet adds just a hint of deep rosiness to them with a lovely glossy effect. These are my favourite Mac lipstick formulas and they're perfect for the colder months! It may be the very first lipstick I actually finish completely. See it in action in my latest Youtube video (and Essie - In Stitches, too)

Snow Mantled Love : Oh. my. god... I love a bit of ambient, beautifully made music and the 126 Remix album is just so perfect and easy to relax/work to. I don't work to music often. It'll all start well with something melodic but quickly turn into a Beyonce dance fest & zero productivity (not that that's a completely terrible thing, but, y'know). Anyway, it's free to download and lovely for your ears. Have a listen!

What have you been loving this month?

  1. I've had my eye on the Bourjois blush for a while, I would love to try it out. Same for the mask, I'm so impatient so this one seems ideal. Love the hamsa necklace :)

  4. I really want the blush and nail polish now, the colours look so pretty. I'm going to listen to the remixes when I work later, I struggle to concentrate when I have regular music in the background too so I'm excited to try this! xx

  5. Hey Sam! I really want to try the Ren mask! I get attracted to face masks like ants to sugar!: P but it's more expensive than the Aesop Parsley Seed which is like the Mothership for masks to me! Let's see when I have it in me to splurge on this one!

  8. I absolutely adore Essie nail polishes and in stitches is probably my favourite shade. I've been looking for a cherry toned blush for Autumn/Winter so thank you for the recommendation, how much was it?
