Today, I Am Grateful For...

Being up before the city : no noise, no traffic, no hustle & bustle
The first glimpse of daylight : when everything is still & quiet
A warm mug of jasmine tea on a cool morning : i'll never be a coffee person
Tickles with the fuzzies : herbert's bed-head is my favourite thing, ever
Boiled eggs : because... they really are the best kinds of breakfast

It's 6am on a Monday morning & although those two words in the same sentence generally never make for a great start to the day, I've decided to embrace that Monday feeling and find some happy things to kick-start the week on a positive note. (even if I will be half asleep by mid-afternoon; it feels good to be up & at 'em for now). Anyway, I'm hoping to have a productive day full of work, organising myself for the week & hopefully some painting squeezed in there to round it all off...

What are your plans for today?
I hope it's a wonderful one.

  3. I love the photos - the top one in particular. Are you in Manchester? The buildings look familiar. I was up for work at 5am last week and once I'd got past the tiredness, watching the sun rise was amazing! x

    1. Thank you Sarah :) I'm actually in Leeds! They are pretty similar looking places though. And I agree, as much as early mornings can be a pain in the butt sometimes - sunrises & beautiful views make it all worthwhile xx

    1. Haha! Thank you... I don't particularly like green tea on its own, but jasmine green tea is so lovely & floral-y, sweet that I just love it! (I wish I liked coffee - it always smells nice, but I just can't bare the taste, haha!) Xx

  5. If I'm not tired, I love early mornings. I used to work on a Sunday morning and I loved walking to work with no traffic, early morning sun and the sound of church bells ringing! I also love boiled eggs- such a go to meal for me when I'm feeling lazy in the evening, or particularly productive in the morning :D
