With my birthday extending for far longer than necessary, it has been a busy week to say the least!
So I apologise for lack of posts! But nevertheless, here I am with five minutes spare, so I thought I would culminate a couple of bits & bobs that I've been loving lately. I also thought it might be nice to have a little glimpse at the lovely gifts I was kindly given for my birthday - as they're all quickly becoming my 'favourite things!'
First up is this super adorable & highly useful Whittards Jasmine Green Tea & Silver Strainer set that my wonderful friend Leitara bought me. As an avid tea drinker, I've always wanted my own tea strainer (possibly the most grandma-esque thing I've ever typed) so I was really pleased to receive this very pretty set. I absolutely love jasmine infused green tea and the quality of this is fantastic. I will definitely buy some more once this has run out!
As for jewellery & accessories, I've been keeping to a fairly minimal theme lately and I've really been enjoying wearing my Bohemian Collective Knuckle Wishbone Ring. I actually bought this a long time ago, but recently re-discovered it in the bottom of my jewellery stand and I forgot how much I loved it. It's so dainty and elegant & makes a nice addition to any outfit. I'd love to add more of their beautiful pieces to my collection!
I also haven't taken off my Olivia Burton Mink & Rose Gold watch since receiving it last Wednesday from my mum. It's - so - pretty! Absolutely the perfect sized watch for me and the colour is just lovely and perfect for Summer, or all year round, really. I haven't owned a watch for such a long time, but I love the simplicity & quality of this piece. I can see this becoming an addiction.
In the beauty department, I have been trying & loving some new Mac goodies. Two stand out products for me have been the Mineralize Rich Lipstick in Posh Tone and the Mineralize Lipglass in Modest as a) I didn't even know this type of lipglass or lipstick existed as a range, and b) they're so lovely & moisturising, highly pigmented yet not overly heavy and I just can't get enough. The Mac make-up artists did an excellent job of helping my boyfriend pick perfect nude based products for me and this is a combination that just goes with anything & everything (my favourite kind).
Another make-up pick that I can't get my mitts off is the Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation, shade BD40. This is a repurchase as I've already gone through one bottle, so I think it's suffice to say it's definitely love. It's the absolute perfect colour match, the perfect light - medium coverage for my skin & has the most perfect dewy finish. I love a bit of effortless glow & this ticks every single box. I'm so pleased to have it back in my life! (how very dramatic - but completely true).
And finally, music wise, my ears have very much enjoyed the sounds of London Grammar lately. I'm a bit late to the party with this one, I realise, but nevertheless, I can't get enough of their If You Wait album. It's such beautiful easy listening and I've had it on repeat for the past few weeks! (I think 'Strong' is my favourite though, with 'Flickers' coming a close second - how about you?)
