Truro, Cornwall.

Truro.

 As most of you know, a friend of mine from Spain came to visit me here in Leeds for two weeks.

Finding something to do for fourteen, full days is harder than you think (and Leeds is a big place!) so, to pass the time & make it fun I decided on doing a bit of a UK tour while she  was here.

The list included;

  • Leeds

  • Cornwall

  • London

  • York

  • Edinburgh

  • Scarborough

  • And a surprise visit to my mum in Newcastle.

A lot right? - I also took a lot of (740!) photos. So, within this week I'll hopefully post them all up :)

Day 1 - We headed off to find Lemon Quay Market - instead we found a farmers market, but it was still as lovely & nice to wander around. We then came across the Cathedral, which was also gorgeous.

We spent most of the day exploring the little town, eating Cornish ice-cream and fish and chips! I really loved the little streets and unique craft shops.

Then, we headed to the beach for drinks & chatting... that just turned into more drinking.

Mid-drinks we headed from Perranporth to St Ives (I think!) I would have loved to have spent more time there.

We also went to the Eden Project - but, me being me, forgot my camera! No bueno.

All in all, I loved Truro, possibly the most beautiful, relaxing place I've been to in a while. A very nice change from a city centre. Then after two, very relaxing days we headed down to London!...
